About Royal Restrooms of Virginia

Royal Restrooms was founded on a hot summer day in 2004, where David Sauers, then a banker, took two of his daughters to a festival in the park. When faced with a dirty port-a-potty and a potty training child, he knew there had to be a better solution. From there, Sauers met up with Kappa Alpha fraternity brother Robert Glisson who took Sauers’ rough idea and gave it his engineer’s polish.

The two men worked weddings, backyard oyster roasts, and small company events until Hurricane Katrina hit. “Up until then we had used our restrooms for parties and weddings. We had to rethink our mindset. We were driving into what looked like a war zone. From that moment on, we rethought our purpose.”

Sauers was deeply moved by what he saw on his trip to Louisiana. “We provide luxury portable restrooms for weddings, parties, sporting events and non-profit celebrations but we also provide them for any time in life, be it a business remodel or a disaster relief situation. We want to be there in your time of crisis, and we don’t just mean when your in-laws are coming to town.”

From the flagship Savannah office, 47 additional offices have sprung up all over the country, Royal Restrooms of Virginia is one of these Royal Restrooms locations. Not only able to provide luxury portable restrooms for outdoor events and weddings, but Royal Restrooms of Virginia also responds to the unique needs of their customers as part of the Royal Restrooms franchise family. These franchisees work together to meet the large-scale needs of customers in the event of a natural disaster or extensive, multi-location corporate business remodel.
